Nuance Text-To-Speech for React Native

Getting started

$ npm install react-native-nuance-text-to-speech --save

Mostly automatic installation

$ react-native link react-native-nuance-text-to-speech

Manual installation

iOS

  • In XCode, in the project navigator, right click LibrariesAdd Files to [your project's name]
  • Go to node_modulesreact-native-nuance-text-to-speech and add RNNuanceTextToSpeech.xcodeproj
  • In XCode, in the project navigator, select your project. Add libRNNuanceTextToSpeech.a to your project's Build PhasesLink Binary With Libraries
  • Run your project (Cmd+R)<

Android

  • Open up android/app/src/main/java/[...]/MainActivity.java
  • Add import com.simdo.react.RNNuanceTextToSpeechPackage; to the imports at the top of the file
  • Add new RNNuanceTextToSpeechPackage() to the list returned by the getPackages() method
  • Append the following lines to android/settings.gradle:
    include ':react-native-nuance-text-to-speech'
    project(':react-native-nuance-text-to-speech').projectDir = new File(rootProject.projectDir, 	'../node_modules/react-native-nuance-text-to-speech/android')
    
  • Insert the following lines inside the dependencies block in android/app/build.gradle:
      compile project(':react-native-nuance-text-to-speech')
